Sophie in BCN News lineup
Sophie is a great artist and a major character in Breaking Cat News. She lives with Tommy and Tommy's Woman. Tommy (whom she calls Thomas) shows attraction to her, though never says it to her face. She specializes in mixed media and found objects and is renowned for her work with refrigerator magnets and paper towels. Although she appears aloof and is sometimes rude to Tommy, she is later revealed to be very sensitive and prone to take criticism to heart. As we would expect, Pucky cheers her up with some fan mail at just the right moment. When she was a baby kitten, she was found outside very sick with her littermates, who all had very bad eye infections; everyone's cleared up after a strong antibiotic and regained vision except for Sophie's left eye. Its loss doesn’t bother her, but her poor depth perception means that she doesn’t see the Red Dot. (The last bit of information is courtesy of Tommy's Woman.) The real Sophie was also declawed by her original owners before she came to live with Tommy and his Woman, and still suffers from it. She is introverted and does not care for the loud, messy children. Her wrestling costume as the Great Unknown aka the Existential Dread includes an Egyptian Ankh amulet that is the source of her 'power'.
